YALE NEW HAVEN HEALTH & USPI GUILFORD ENDOSCOPY CLINIC

The E4H team provided architectural design and engineering services for this outpatient Endoscopy project while collaborating with both Yale New Haven Health (YNHH) and USPI. This clinic is located on the first floor of an existing office building in Guilford, CT.

The team developed a four-procedure room layout with four Pre-Op / holding rooms and eight PACU bays. Staff support spaces were added in addition to scope decontamination and clean scope rooms, regular clean and soiled holding rooms, a medication safety zone, and exam and consultation rooms. Business offices were provided on the 2nd floor to serve the 1st floor clinic.

E4H worked with the YNHH Endoscopy staff user group extensively to provide the procedure room equipment, millwork workstations, storage and MEP service layout to best accommodate their needs and workflow. The overall flow and circulation of the patients were critical and, as a result, tested through multiple review options for user group schematic approval before proceeding with the final version.
