MEMORIAL SLOAN KETTERING CANCER CENTER – REHABILITATION CENTER

The rehabilitation center, occupying the entire fourth floor and half of the fifth floor at 515 Madison Avenue, expanded Memorial Sloan Kettering’s capacity to help patients with cancer regain physical function and a sense of wellbeing.

The facility houses 15 treatment bays, exam rooms, office support spaces, and an occupational therapy space set up as a kitchen allowing patients to re-learn how to complete basic domestic tasks. The majority of the space is dedicated to a state-of-the-art gym equipped with basic treadmills, stationary bikes, and a virtual reality Balance Master. Individual treatment cubicles line the two sides of the gym to allow for therapists to meet with their patients in privacy.
