WEILL CORNELL OB/GYN and PRIMARY CARE

The Weill Cornell Medicine outpatient practice renovation provides an important addition to the Upper West Side neighborhood, as located immediately off of W 80th Street and Broadway in a new residential apartment building. Physician & Clinical teams at this new site are dedicated to meeting the unique and changing medical needs of women by providing obstetrics-gynecology care and serving the healthcare needs of the women throughout all phases of their lives.

The lower-level clinic contains exam consult rooms, practitioner offices, phlebotomy plus shared support spaces distributed across each floor to accommodate the 2 practices – OB/GYN and Primary Care Clinics. Special attention was given to the materials, furniture, and details of the interior design in the waiting room, as tailored specifically for women and their families in order to aid in providing a comforting and safe environment during their visit. Open, friendly nurse touch-down stations were conveniently located for ease of circulation and incorporated into the overall interior design at the main exam room corridor off each pod. Decorative flowered patterned glass and wood ceiling elements enhance the space to make the hallway feel inviting and safe, tying in elements from the waiting room and lobbies.
