The Mount Sinai Hospital Breaks Ground on Rapid Evaluation and Treatment Unit (RETU) Expansion

Congratulations to The Mount Sinai Hospital who recently broke ground on the expansion of their Rapid Evaluation and Treatment Unit (RETU). This new 24-bed RETU will be located on the same floor as their Emergency Department, and is expected to be completed in mid-summer 2023. This unit will allow for enhanced care coordination and observation of patients requiring further short-term evaluation and treatment, but do not require admission as an inpatient.
