THE WYSS INSTITUTE AT HARVARD UNIVERSITY
The Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University is located in the Center for Life Science Boston (CLSB). This facility accommodates diverse research in an adaptable environment. The laboratories can simultaneously support chemistry, biological, mechanical and nanotech research for various pursuits, including robotics, bio-mimicry and anticipatory medical device development. The design takes inspiration from the Institute’s mission to develop bio-inspired materials and devices that can transform medicine, enhance quality of life, and create a more sustainable world. The renovation includes specialized and flexible laboratories, idea-sharing zones, and open plan office support areas.
This project achieved USGBC LEED Platinum for Commercial Interiors.
