NEWTON-WELLESLEY HOSPITAL

Designing for improved efficiency, E4H designed the Newton Wellesley Ambulatory Care Center with a particular focus on the hospital’s need for a team-based model of care. The new 16,000SF facility reflects the shift away from dedicated physicians’ offices to more collaborative spaces providing a productive work environment and a higher quality of care.
Highly efficient “flow stations” allow caregivers to work side by side, enhancing their interaction. The location of these team workspaces directly adjacent to the exam room reduces visit times, improving the doctor-patient relationship and the overall patient satisfaction. Additional design solutions for the patient experience include convenient parking and a non-stressful and welcoming “spa-like” feel.

This Ambulatory Hub integrates primary care, specialty care, phlebotomy, and x-ray services.
