NEWYORK-PRESBYTERIAN HOSPITAL – VIVIAN & SEYMOUR MILSTEIN FAMILY HEART CENTER

This five-story addition was designed as a bridge between two existing structures: The Milstein Hospital and The Irving Pavilion. An additional 40,000SF which connects the three buildings was renovated.

Cardiac catheterization laboratories, operating rooms, critical care units, diagnostics, medical practice suites, ambulatory surgery, and an education/conference center were added to the existing facility. The project, in association with Pei Cobb Freed & Partners Architects, was part of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s larger strategic plan to expand and improve its ambulatory care services. The project was LEED Gold certified through the United States Green Building Council.
