MOUNT SINAI SCHOOL OF MEDICINE DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY

The scope of this project included master plans and implemented renovations in conjunction with modifications and upgrades to offices, labs and support areas to eight floors of the Annenberg Building.

The efficiency of space utilization was improved through the creation of large, generalized laboratories. Resources were organized by task and assigned on a bench-by-bench basis, instead of the current space-by-space basis in which a myriad of individual rooms functioned independently. Faculty offices were clustered to allow shared administrative support. New divisible conference rooms with teleconference capabilities were provided on the 15th and 24th floors.
