MEMORIAL SLOAN KETTERING CANCER CENTER – PHELPS PHARMACY

This off-campus expansion of an Infusion Pharmacy was designed to meet USP 797 guidelines, a leading standard for pharmacy policies and procedures produced by the United States Pharmacopeia Convention.

To meet these guidelines pharmaceutical administration policies were coordinated with the layout and sequencing of preparation rooms and finishes, and mechanical ventilation requirements. The goal was to cut down on infections transmitted to patients as well as to better protect staff working in pharmacies. Additionally, the project included 12 infusion bays and a six-room examination suite serviced by this pharmacy.
