COBLESKILL PRIMARY CARE

This new freestanding 20,000SF medical office building is located on the Cobleskill Regional Hospital campus. The clinic building serves as a replacement for a nearby facility that had become too small and inefficient. The incorporation of the Medical Home model was important to all participating and led to a prototypical design organized around four distinct clinical pods of 10-11 exam rooms and four provider offices.

Other design elements include central support areas in between each pair of pods for quick and easy access, a central waiting area encouraging familiarity with the layout and clinical staff, and centralized registration for staff efficiency and circulation flow.

As the system architect for the Bassett Healthcare Network, additional projects are currently underway.
