E4Hcares Boston partnered with Heading Home to do a Hope Grows Here Outdoor Cleanup project at one of their shelters in the Greater Boston area. The team did some light weeding, raking, picked up trash lying around, planted new garden beds, and planted flowers into boxes on the front porch in an effort to beautify the outdoor space to make it feel more like a home. They also provided solar LED lights which were placed in some of the gardens and along the walkway.

“There are certainly not enough words to express our gratitude for partners like you…the love, care, hard work, and beautiful vision combined to create an amazing space for our families to enjoy while they shelter-from-home for the summer weeks to come,” expressed Heading Home.

E4Hcares organizer Kim Leonard received so much interest in volunteering at the outdoor cleanup, that the Boston team is scheduling another workday with a different team of volunteers.
