Partner Kevin Neumann, AIA, and Partner David Tooley, participated in the Healthcare Associated Infections Organization (HAIO) panel discussion A Fresh Look at the Covid Legacies. Kevin Neumann spoke about Healthcare at Home, a program where hospital ED’s send certain patients back to their home as an admitted ED patient. David Tooley spoke on freestanding ED’s and microhospitals. Topics ranged from communication and cooperation between hospitals, the impact of the nursing shortage and how this affects patient access to hospital beds, outpatient care settings and micro hospitals to the continuum of care challenges.

The panel was moderated by Teresa Wilson, AIA, ACHA, LEED AP, Fitwel Ambassador, Colliers Project Leaders. Joining E4H were panelists; Nancy Hanright, Boston Medical Center Health System, Senior Director, Real Estate & Space Planning; Patrick Jordan, Dartmouth Health, COO; Michael Kennedy, Mass General Brigham, Director of Facilities Operations and Support Services, Integrated Care & Urgent Care; and Rebecca Rodman, Husch Blackwell, Senior Counsel.
